Luxury boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair has unveiled its first instalment of new-look deluxe bedrooms and suites. These feature beautifully elegant interior design and some very special hidden extras as part of an expansive £14 million refurbishment.
One of the oldest family-‐owned hotels in London, Flemings Mayfair opened in 1851 and was originally converted from 13 Georgian townhouses. The award-‐winning hotel, part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, offers unrivalled luxury accommodation in one of London’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, moments from Green Park, Piccadilly and a short walk from Buckingham Palace.
Opulent Interiors
Each of the newly refurbished bedrooms has seen an £85,000 investment. This has resulted in an interior transformation that showcases the very best in luxury travel. Interior design company, Tully Filmer, have restyled these rooms into a serenely calm and restful haven with glamorous 1930’s inspired décor in shades of bronze and soft greys; period features, as well as bespoke furniture in silver stained fiddle-back sycamore. Some rooms have also seen their original three-metre high ceilings reinstated.
Tasteful bathrooms feature stunning mosaic marble floors with underfloor heating, bathtubs or rainfall showers and come stocked with T London toiletries filled with natural botanicals and essential oils.
Some ground floor rooms and suites also have the benefit of beautifully landscaped patios with bespoke furniture, offering a tranquil, outside space for enjoying a quiet drink or breakfast on a bright morning.
The hotel has a strong partnership with celebrity photographer Dr. Andy Gotts MBE , who is most noted for his black and white portraits of the world’s most famous actors, singers and fashion luminaries. These unique and exclusive portraits adorn the walls of the new bedrooms, suites and apartments.
Hidden Extras & Gin Bars
From the hand-‐stitched, hand-‐tufted Mattison beds and detailed Chiswick linen; to Nespresso coffee machines and complimentary Wi-Fi, Flemings Mayfair is passionate about providing subtle touches that add an extra dash of luxury.
Some studio suites boast exclusive private gin ‘honesty’ bars offering five premium gins, for complimentary self-‐serve tipples. These were designed in conjunction with award-winning ‘Distilled’ authors and spirits experts Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley, who also formulated Flemings’ own signature gin brand. Cocktail making equipment, recipe cards, advice on signature serves and period crystal glassware are all provided so guests can mix and muddle their own creations or simply unwind with a classic G&T.
Townhouse, Penthouse & Apartments
Flemings offers a selection of newly refurbished one, two and three-‐bedroom apartments with private entrances on Clarges Street. A truly luxurious stay is promised in the two bedroom Penthouse Suite, which boasts a private lift and rooftop terrace for al‐fresco drinking, dining and entertaining. The Townhouse on Half Moon Street comprises seven beautifully appointed bedrooms and is available as an entire property or bookable as individual suites and rooms.
Following the completion of the luxe bedrooms, suites and apartments; plus The Drawing Room -‐ a newly opened tea room and small bar, the next exciting stage of the Flemings story sees Michelin-starred chef Shaun Rankin open a new restaurant and bar within the hotel in Spring 2016.
