In the month of October I was invited to stay and experience the sixth ‘Aloft’ Hotel in India which is located in Aerocity, one of New Delhi’s busiest and most cosmopolitan business destinations. The best part about Aloft New Delhi Aerocity’s location is that it takes about ten minutes to reach the airport from this hotel.
The hotel offers a vibrant and stylish atmosphere and is conveniently connected to major hubs in the city. With distinctive design, smart technology and a vibrant social vibe, Aloft is a smart and cheerful property as I discovered the moment I walked into this hotel. The hotel is colorful and tastefully decorated with artifacts and artworks all over.
Combining innovative design with technology and comfort, Aloft hotels were created keeping in mind the needs of the next-generation traveler. The hotel’s 253 guestrooms are cozy and well equipped with everything one requires for a comfortable stay. Large and open spaces succeed in creating an environment of informality.
Food enthusiasts will be delighted with a number of outlets such as the Re:mix lounge, the on-trend W XYZ® bar with regular ‘Live at Aloft Hotels’ music performances by local emerging artists and Nook – the all-day dining restaurant. With state-of-the art business meeting facilities, the hotel is well equipped to host large conferences. Recreational options include Re:chargeSM, the fitness center and Splash which is the outdoor pool bar and lounge.

The hotel’s lobby level has a unique lounge called Confetto Heritae which is filled with vintage artefacts such as a gramophone, a typewriter, photos of Bollywood icons, lamps from yesteryears, a vintage mirror, a radio, a scooter which was used during the yesteryears. One can spend hours in this beautiful place which brings back old memories for so many people.
Executive chef Saurabh Srivastav and his team created fantastic cuisine during the course of my stay. On day one, the chef created a three course sit down meal at Nook which consisted of Yin and yang (Compressed water melon with kiwi foam and boraj), Pickled beetroot and pesto marinated bocconcini and citrus salad and Surf and turf (sous vide chicken leg with pan seared salmon and parmesan foam and beets puree).
I visited all the outlets in this cheerful hotel and came back impressed with the uniqueness and innovative way of functioning. The swimming pool is a great place to spend hours and hours in quiet reflection as I discovered during my time in the hotel. I tried Co Co Co – White rum, black coffee and coconut cream, a unique cocktail at WXYZ bar. The bar cum lounge also has an interesting food menu to choose from. Re:fuel is a great place to grab a delicious smoothie along with a healthy snack or the variety of energy bars that this cheerful little place offers.
A stay at Aloft New Delhi Aerocity is definitely recommended for those who are looking for a vibrant and cheerful atmosphere, artistic interiors and a refreshingly unique attitude when it comes to a hotel! Definitely worth several visits!
