The journey to COMO Maalifushi begins with an international flight to Malé, the capital of the Maldives. From there, a 50-minute seaplane transfer whisks guests over turquoise waters, offering a bird’s-eye view of the stunning atolls below. As the seaplane descends, the lush island and its overwater bungalows come into view, hinting at the exciting experience that awaits.

COMO Maalifushi is the first and only resort to open on the unspoilt Thaa Atoll, in the archipelago’s southern reaches – which means unlike so many Maldives resorts now, which overlook others or bustling residential islands, you really do get the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere with uninterrupted ocean views and spectacular starry night skies.

COMO Maalifushi is committed to sustainability and environmental conservation. The resort employs a range of eco-friendly practices, including solar panels, water desalination plants, and waste management systems. The resort also supports local communities and marine conservation efforts, working to preserve the vibrant coral reefs and protect the diverse marine life that calls the Maldives home.

Guests are encouraged to participate in conservation activities, such as coral planting and marine biology workshops, fostering a deeper connection with the environment and promoting sustainable tourism.

COMO Maalifushi offers a variety of accommodations designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Each villa and suite exudes a sense of refined simplicity, with clean lines, neutral tones, and high-quality materials.

Tucked away amidst tropical foliage, beach villas offer direct access to the sandy shores and gentle waves of the lagoon. They feature spacious decks with private pools, outdoor showers, and comfortable loungers. Inside, the décor is minimalist yet inviting, with large windows that allow natural light to flood the space and provide stunning views of the surrounding greenery.

Perched over the crystal-clear waters, the water villas provide an immersive experience of the lagoon. They feature private sundecks, plunge pools, and direct access to the ocean. The interiors are designed with relaxation in mind, offering a comfortable seating area, a king-size bed, and a spacious bathroom with a soaking tub and separate shower. Our two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa was a delight – almost two villas in one, with a handy kitchen, huge lounge, and pool plus stunning ocean views.

Maalifushi Villas offer ample space and privacy for families or larger groups. They include multiple bedrooms, a large living area, a private pool, and direct beach access. The design is both practical and stylish, with a focus on comfort and convenience.
