On offer is the perfect combination of functionality and elegance. Situated right in the centre of the bustling business district, this 479-key (counting 50 luxury suites) hotel is just a 20-minute drive from the airport, making it incredibly convenient for me as a traveller. As I stepped into the hotel, I was immediately captivated by its stunning architecture. Built with Indian sandstone and adorned with luxurious marble interiors, the place exudes timeless charm and sophistication.
The lobby, with its large domed ceiling, serves as the centrepiece of the hotel and is a sight to behold. A beautiful central table adorned with exquisite floral displays adds a welcoming touch, while the cosy seating areas dotted with plush sofas invite one to relax and unwind. You also can’t help but notice the charming florist shop, adding a touch of grace to the overall ambience.
Being primarily a business hotel, Hyatt Regency Delhi understands the needs of professionals like me. The well-equipped meeting rooms and state-of-the-art business centre catered perfectly to my work requirements, allowing me to stay productive throughout my stay. I truly appreciate the hotel’s commitment to creating a conducive work environment without compromising on the comfort and luxury that I desired.
Room
Entry-level rooms are greeted by a short vestibule that adds a sense of privacy and tranquillity. The bathroom, just off the vestibule, impresses with its separate square bath and shower. It is well-equipped, and an efficient hair dryer is provided. The king-size bed is incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. International power points are conveniently located next to the desk, which also boasts an Anglepoise lamp, making it easy to work or attend to any personal tasks.
The addition of an armchair is a thoughtful touch, providing a cosy spot to relax and unwind. There is complimentary water and tea and coffee making facilities, allowing one to enjoy a hot beverage at their convenience. I stayed in the Club room which came with an exclusive access to the Regency Club lounge. This dedicated space provides a host of additional benefits, including complimentary breakfast, all-day hot beverages, airport transfer services, and happy hour drinks with light snacks at selected times.
Food and drink
The hotel unveils its true culinary prowess with a selection of seven enchanting restaurants. The 24/7 Café, impresses with its exceptional breakfast offerings, including made-to-order dosa alongside a tantalising assortment of hot and cold culinary delights.
One particular gem within this gastronomic haven is the renowned The China Kitchen, an award-winning restaurant that takes Chinese cuisine to new heights. Distinguished as the first of its kind in Delhi, The China Kitchen boasts a captivating duck bar, skilfully manned by two dedicated Chinese chefs who deftly prepare exquisite Peking duck and twice-cooked duck. Complementing this vibrant culinary theatre is a semi-open kitchen, where Chinese culinary artisans expertly man stations such as the enticing dim sum and wok. Open until the early hours of the morning, The China Kitchen’s bar stands as a demonstration to its ardour to providing an extraordinary dining experience.
‘La Piazza’, which raised the Italian culinary standard in Delhi back in 1994, radiates an authentic trattoria ambience. Nestled within its charming confines, on the menu are delectable Italian delicacies cooked to perfection in a Renato wood-fired oven. The flavours of espresso and the exquisite sweetness of tiramisu grace the palates of fortunate diners, all while surrounded by the restaurant’s captivating rustic tiled floor.
For a captivating fusion of Thai, Japanese, and Asian flavours, ‘TK’s’ offers an inviting atmosphere where one can savour the delights of teppanyaki stations and partake in convivial dining experiences at the sit-up sushi bar. ‘Syrah’, serves cuisine inspired by the Levant region in the Eastern Mediterranean ranging the gamut from refreshing salads, grills to expansive mezze platters.

If you’re in the mood for exploring, the diplomatic enclave and Dilli Haat, with its vibrant handicrafts and tempting street food, are just a quick five-minute drive away. And for some serious retail therapy, the Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj, one of Delhi’s largest, is only an eight-minute drive from the hotel.
Additionally, the hotel offers numerous inviting social meeting spots like the ‘Polo Lounge’ and ‘Sidewalk’ café, ensuring that guests have ample choices when it comes to finding the perfect setting for their business engagements or casual gatherings.
