Novotel Pune Nagar Road is a good choice for a weekend staycation as I recently discovered when I was invited by the hotel. We were accorded a warm welcome by the hotel’s team when I checked in, and it was a delight to see personalized amenities created by the Chef’s team when we entered our suite.
Situated in the plush area of Viman Nagar, Novotel Pune is in close proximity to the Pune Airport, and offers 223 ergonomically designed rooms and 11,000 sq. ft of banqueting space. It is close to Phoenix Market City, Osho Meditation Resort, Aga Khan Palace and offers easy access to business hubs such as the EON IT Park Kharadi, Magarpatta and Yerawada.
The hotel offers multiple dining options, a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool and a kid’s play area. It is the perfect multi-service offering for both business and leisure guests with spacious, modular rooms, 24/7 catering with balanced meals, meeting rooms, attentive and proactive staff.

Soak is a mesmerizing open air poolside restaurant and lounge serving delicacies with a range of concoctions and groovy lounge channel music. I spent a lot of time relaxing near the beautiful poolside during my stay.
Barcode, a cosy lobby lounge that offers a range of wine and spirits is a great place to unwind with a drink and bite size appetisers, the talented bartender here mixed an interesting black currant martini for me. Oven fresh delights, customised cakes and pastries and Novo-box for meals on the go are offered by Crust located on lobby level.
The talented executive chef Anil Chabukswar created a fantastic five course meal for me at lunch which was high on visual appeal as well as taste. Asparagus soup served with lemon chives cream, Mesclun salad with jalapenos, poached watermelon, bocconcini with tomato foam accompanied with oats dusted chicken and berries.
For mains he served us spinach, brie and sage tortellini, cognac flambé red snapper and hazelnuts coated Sous Vide New Zealand lamb. A fantastic meal ended with delicious baked flavoured yoghurt in a jar. The next day he created a mouth watering elaborate Maharashtrian thaali for lunch.
