Hotel Review: The Sianji Resort & Spa, Bodrum in Turkey

By Suzi Eaton   |

Have you ever thought about booking a well-being retreat but not made the leap? Me too. However, take it from me, this needs to go on your 2018 bucket list immediately.

The Sianji five-star Resort and Spa in Bodrum, Turkey, is a beautiful haven of relaxation and rest. Inspired by one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Sianji offers a charming combination of pleasure and well-being. Getting the balance right must be difficult however this luxury resort has it covered. Imagine breath-taking views, idyllic mountains, a glistening ocean calling you and service that is second to none.

On the waters-edge; enjoy panoramic views of the bay

There are 23 King Suites, 20 Junior Suites, 28 Pool Villas, 4 Penthouses, 1 Honeymoon Suite with its own waterfall and 63 other Residences at the Sianji Resort. Each of these offers a different concept and the hotel is highly contemporary throughout.

The ultimate in rest and relaxation; Pool Villas with your own duplex-suite and outside space

There are many reasons you might visit Sianji. A family holiday, a quick trip away, or to indulge in their Sianji Life Well-being Centre. Their aim you ask? To improve natural life quality of guests with the healthy living and detox programme, which runs 12 months a year.

If you specifically book one of their well-being holidays you’ll be guided through various stages for the ultimate detox. There is the popular juice-fasting course, the raw food detox and the 80-20 alkaline diet.  You will be educated on how your body works and what essential nutrients you could be missing. These unique programs attract hundreds of people from around the world each year.

Visiting Sianji allowed me to see how perfectly the resort is set up for well-being; you couldn’t not feel good – great in fact! In addition to the juicing and dieting, guests are enriched with movement such as Yoga, Pilates, and Aqua-gym, alongside treatments such as sound therapy and kinesis. Movement, time, energy, and life are the four focuses of the Detox programme.

Guests who participate in the Detox and Wellness program at Sianji Wellbeing Resort even have the chance to cut their own vegetables, pick their own fruits and eggs, and enjoy them as food or drink, from the certified organic farm. A unique experience through and through.

If the Detox centre isn’t your prime focus, don’t worry. Plenty of people visit Sianji to escape every-day life and embark on a holiday; there is sun, sea and sand after all.

The resort has a fantastic beach bar (you must try the Midori Splice) and three incredible pools for you to choose from. Each is very well set-out and large enough that you would never feel on top of other guests. There are plenty of stylish day-beds to enjoy and sitting at the end of the pontoon on your own bed ordering drinks from your waiter, waiting for the sun to set, is an experience like no other.

Let there be light; Sianji Resort looking spectacular by night, offering layer upon layer of five-star luxury

As the wine flows and you reminisce with friends, you realise all the stresses of normal life have left you. Sianji seems to be working.

If you do venture out of the resort ask the hotel concierge for travel advice. They will organise a taxi to the marina where you will be impressed to say the least. Quad-deck yachts, designer shops, young money, old money, fashionistas and celebrities frequent this beautiful space. The place to eat here at the moment is Nusr-Et. Vegetarians need not apply.

My trip has been enlightening. If you enjoy the finer things in life this five-star retreat will impress from the moment you arrive. Service, style, and freedom. It’s time to explore Turkey in a whole new light.
