My family spent a few blissful days at this resort as part of our tour of Mauritius and couldn’t have asked for a better destination to start off our vacation.

Families will love the many activities available and couples will delight in exclusive access to the Sandy Lane area and private pool. Kids aged three to 11 can have fun under the watchful eye of their qualified kids’ club Timomo staff while parents can relax knowing that their children are safe and entertained.
There is something for everyone at Veranda Pointe aux Biches; from leisurely beach walks to exciting water sports such as parasailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming, and snorkelling on one of Mauritius’ best beaches.
The resort also features an excellent selection of restaurants catering to a variety of tastes: from French fine dining to international flavours like sushi and pizza. Guests can also relax in one of the two bars with a cocktail or light snack after exploring nearby attractions such as botanical gardens, national parks, and traditional villages.

The luxurious accommodation at Veranda Pointe aux Biches includes a selection of different room types including more spacious family units. All rooms come with a generous array of amenities including air-conditioning to ensure a restful night’s sleep regardless of the temperature outside, complimentary Wi-Fi so you can stay connected on your travels, satellite TV for entertainment, and private balconies or terraces which offer views of the garden or swimming pool.
Furthermore, they also feature an en-suite bathroom with a shower that includes sleek modern fixtures and fittings as well as complimentary toiletries. Our superior room was the perfect size for our little family of three and we loved lazing the afternoons away on our peaceful terrace.
For larger groups or families there are family units available too. The additional space that these rooms provide is perfect for families looking to enjoy some quality time together but still have enough area to relax separately if needed.
Food and drink
Veranda Pointe aux Biches is a great place for a foodie holiday, offering a number of restaurants with excellent cuisine and breath-taking views.
Most days our meals were served as a buffet at Senses Restaurant. This spot offers delightful gourmet dishes made from locally-sourced ingredients and with its outdoor but covered terrace and picturesque ocean views, it’s the perfect place to indulge for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff even accommodated our infant son’s dietary requirements by getting the chef to whip up some fresh vegetable or meat purees each day.
For a more casual experience, we headed to Footloose Bar. Here, you can sample an array of impressive wines and cocktails so you can really kick back and relax.
If you’re looking for something special, then Sandy Lane Restaurant is the a la carte option. This restaurant serves up exquisite French-Mauritian fusion cuisine that is sure to tantalise your taste buds. Enjoy grilled meats or seafood while your feet are literally in the sand, and this restaurant is in the couples-only section of the resort making it perfect for a romantic evening.
Last but not least is the Sundeck Restaurant – ideal for those who want to dine alfresco while enjoying spectacular sea views. The restaurant’s menu features a variety of international dishes. For an unforgettable dining experience, this is definitely one place you won’t want to miss!

The Seven Colours Spa at Veranda Pointe aux Biches in Mauritius is a truly unique experience with its beach-facing treatment rooms that offer you the opportunity to indulge in massage and healing treatments while taking in stunning views of the Indian Ocean – divine! The spa’s focus on chakra balancing and healing is rooted in ancient Indian philosophy and offers a holistic approach to restoring balance, both mental and physical.
Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the spa’s lobby area where they can get comfortable before heading into one of the beach-facing treatment rooms. These rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows that offer amazing views of the turquoise ocean waters, creating a tranquil atmosphere for ultimate relaxation. Before starting a treatment, you get to choose a colour or chakra that you want to focus on and the associated colour is projected in the room as you get pampered.
The goal of chakra balancing is to bring harmony and balance back into your life by clearing blockages in your body’s natural energy flow. As the therapist helps restore balance within you, you become more aware of your physical and emotional needs allowing you to feel more confident and empowered within yourself.

There are plenty of activities available in and around the resort. You can enjoy kitesurfing, windsurfing, or stand-up paddle boarding while admiring the picturesque views of nearby islands or for more relaxed activities, kayaking and snorkelling are also available at Veranda Pointe aux Biches. The crystal-clear turquoise waters make for a stunning backdrop as you explore the diverse marine life around you.
If you’re looking for a chance to explore further afield, why not take advantage of the many sights to be found by bike? There are numerous routes through the quaint villages surrounding Veranda Pointe aux Biches. As well as giving you an opportunity to visit some of Mauritius’ most famous attractions, cycling is a great way to take in some local culture too – with plenty of stops along the way for refreshments.
