Located on MG Road The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi is a popular hotel and is always buzzing with activity. Within easy reach from the New Delhi International Airport, the hotel is conveniently located, close to commercial offices, upscale shopping malls, multiplexes and the convention center making it an ideal place for business as well as leisure. I was driven to the hotel by an affable driver and my journey took me through several areas of the capital city from Friends Colony in Delhi to Gurgaon, a drive that was long but pleasant owing to the efficiency of the driver.
The hotel has 313 elegantly appointed spacious rooms featuring Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed® along with Heavenly Bath™ amenities. I was escorted to an ‘Aura’ guestroom specially designed for single lady travelers. A delicious platter consisting of fruits, chocolates and other goodies accompanied by a note on the TV Screen by the Area General Manager Sanjay Sharma made me feel very welcome. Located close to the elevator these rooms have enhanced security features and are serviced by female staff members only. Chic furnishings including circular couches, a convenient makeup table in an oversized bathroom, a soaking tub and a luxurious rainforest shower add up to make for a comfortable stay.
The hotel boasts of numerous food and beverage outlets and it was tough to decide which one I should try first. Eest serves Asian cuisine in a refined ambiance and represents the basic life elements creating a new culinary world of South East Asia, a great option for those who enjoy Asian cuisine. Eest is a perfect balance of tradition married with modernity. The restaurant offers a range of cuisines like Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Korean with five private dining rooms, a tea bar, a large semi-private main dining room and a private sushi bar. The decor is modern with an Asian influence. The menu is elaborate with options for Chinese, Japanese and Thai crafted to capture the essence of the province of South East Asia. Eest offers a range of cuisines with five private dining rooms, a tea bar, a large semi-private main dining room and a private sushi bar. The emphasis is on authentic flavours, fresh and unique ingredients and creative presentations that engage all the senses in a chic atmosphere. In fact it’s one of the few restaurants in the country which boasts of three expat chefs who mastermind the three different cuisines served.
As I stepped into The Heavenly Spa by Westin, I felt a sense of peace and calm owing to its lighting and serene ambience. The Spa offers various rejuvenating massages like Balinese, Swedish and Thai massages in combination with the signature treatments such as WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio and Heavenly massage. Spa experiences based on quintessential treatments are provided and a unique product line powered by Aromatherapy Associates; delivered with care by skilled therapists. Heavenly Spa by Westin™ also offers numerous options of food and beverages high on phyto-nutrients, directly boosting the rejuvenation process and encourages guests to embrace full-body nourishment with energizing drinks, herbal teas, and a nutritious SuperFoodsRx® menu. It is a good idea to go for their signature Heavenly massage if you visit the first time.
The next evening I decided to go to the Mix Lounge and bar, a stylish lounge bar located on Level one of the hotel. This stylish lounge provides a perfect spot for an afternoon tea or evening cocktails. A menu of light and savory bites is served throughout the day and the efficient bartender mixed up an interesting cocktail for me to go with their eclectic tofu spring rolls. Mix Lounge and Bar’s most outstanding feature is the beautifully handcrafted wood bar. Rescued from potential decay, this gorgeous piece of African hardwood has travelled over sea and land, from the rainforests of the Congo to the hill stations of Kerala. Weighing more than 15 tonnes, this ancient and majestic single-wood piece was carefully crafted just for The Westin Gurgaon, adding an element of rich African beauty to its surroundings.
Located at Lobby Level in the hotel, Prego is fun, lively, casual, comfortable and means, you are welcome in Italian. Featuring natural woods, a chic décor, playful aura and a beautiful courtyard, a reminder that Italy, in addition to being the home of fine cuisine is also homeland of cutting-edge design concept, this Italian eatery is a fun place to be at. The décor exhibits strong Italian elements with authentic artwork and visuals, light earthen color scheme and glass blocks in different colors. The cuisine is rustic yet refined, rooted in tradition with innovative preparation methods employing only the finest and freshest ingredients. The chef dished up small portions of cold starters, fresh pastas, delectable risottos, homemade fresh bread, and delicious desserts for me to indulge in with wines to match. The elaborate menu features bruschetta, antipasti and rich classic sauces like carbonara, puttanesca or pesto.
Seasonal Tastes is an all day dining restaurant and offers international cuisine to suit everyone’s palate. Offering a modern buffet, live stations and à la carte options, this casual café is open all day and features Indian food as well as international selections and quick, healthy bites. The breakfast buffet at Seasonal Tastes features nutritious SuperFoodsRx™, eggs, waffles, baked goods, fresh fruit, cereals and much more. Lunch and dinner buffets include a generous selection of classic comfort foods, enticing Indian cuisine and wholesome choices for health-conscious guests. The restaurant’s cool and casual design takes advantage of the abundance of natural light and an open kitchen plus seven live cooking stations keep guests entertained. In the evenings, this restaurant also offers authentic street food from Delhi which is very popular with both locals and tourists.
Spending an evening at Story, the new lounge and high-energy bar located in the hotel is a good idea when one is in the mood to enjoy spirited cocktails, great music and snacks.

Level one is passionate and cozy, complete with elegant indoor seating, best suited for this copper- toned lounge. A sprawling and beautifully crafted bar is the focal point of Story on level one. The bar is one of the key features of the lounge, serving up an array of unique blends and concoctions, made perfect with a team of award- winning mixologists. The Story bar is home to an astonishingly diverse selection of liquors and beverages from around the world. Cigar lovers will be thrilled with the selection of fine hand rolled Cuban cigars found at the Cigar Lounge, the first of its kind in Gurgaon. Music is an integral part of Story what with themed nights and a renowned resident DJ playing every night of the week! Each element of Story has a story woven within it. From the ambiance to the art; from the food and beverage to the décor- everything and everyone has a story to tell.
The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi is a destination in its own with comfortable rooms, efficient service, one of the best spas in the city, several high end restaurants, lounges and bars that cater to every guest’s palate and preference and makes for a great stay when in Delhi!
