East London’s hottest new hotel One Hundred Shoreditch opened its doors just this month, but its rooms and suites are already booking up fast thanks to its trendy, design-led aesthetic, vibrant events programme and privileged location on Shoreditch High Street, in the thick of the area’s vibrant arts, music and foodie scene.

Designed by Lore Group creative director Jacu Strauss, One Hundred Shoreditch aims to reflect the ways in which the area has evolved during the last decade, with interiors mirroring the neighbourhood’s new, grown-up feel while retaining the buzz and vibrance synonymous with the area in the hotel’s public spaces.

As part of the hotel’s ongoing commitment to the local community, One Hundred Shoreditch has partnered with two charities – an East London charity focused on helping people facing homelessness and addiction transform their lives; and Refuge – a charity providing specialist support to those experiencing domestic violence and abuse.

Food and drink
One Hundred Shoreditch is home to six restaurants and bars, the highlight of which is the spectacular Goddard and Gibbs – the hotel’s star eatery and wine bar, which was inspired by the quaint fishing villages and seaside towns dotted along England’s picturesque coastline.
A vibrant and informal all-day British seafood restaurant serving up a mouth-watering array of dishes for brunch, lunch and dinner, some of the must-try starters include Dorset crab with kohlrabi, radish salad and pink grapefruit dressing, and the G&G smoked salmon served with horseradish crème fraiche and soda bread. Moving onto mains, and you can certainly expect to be spoilt for choice, with the squid ink linguine, roasted skate wing and grilled lobster and chips all show-stopping dishes that are guaranteed to impress. If you’re hungry after hours, then the restaurant even offers a seafood takeaway hatch for late night dining in your room.
At the wine bar, guests can unwind over a glass of wine or two in a stylish and welcoming space, with a menu comprising a mix of modern, forward-thinking producers and more renowned winemakers from some of the world’s most celebrated regions and some small sharing plates if you’re feeling a little bit peckish.
In the basement at One Hundred Shoreditch, you’ll find Seed Library, a cocktail bar by renowned bartender and drinks visionary Ryan ‘Mr Lyan’ Chetiyawardana, with drinks harnessing a rich manifesto of heritage ingredients to create new takes on favourite serves with a cleaner, differently composed balance sitting alongside a handpicked selection of beers and wine.
Up at the stylish rooftop bar and terrace offers panoramic views across East London. And for both hotel guests and locals, the lobby also offers both the Lobby Bar – where you’ll find a selection of drinks, cocktails and Neapolitan pizzas being served throughout the day, and the Coffee Shop, which offers some delicious blends from local roaster Ozone Coffee, for a more laid-back place to grab some refreshments.
