The Ramside Hall Hotel in Durham has opened what it claims to be the ‘largest suite in the North East’ of England.
The ‘Celebration Suite’ – which measures a 100 square meters – is part of the luxury hotel’s new accommodation wing.
It offers panoramic views of the surrounding area, a spacious dining and bedroom area, seven foot wide bed, free-standing copper bath, dressing room and an additional bathroom.
The suite is part of the hotel’s £16m expansion programme – which will also see the addition of 47 premier rooms offering both double and twin bedrooms all containing a walk-in shower, free-standing baths and Hypnos beds.
John Adamson, owner of the hotel, said: “We have done everything possible to ensure our guests have a memorable and comfortable stay in luxurious surroundings.”
The £16m development also includes the creation of a second championship golf course which opened last year, and the opening of a spa featuring a 25m pool, gym, spa garden and a variety of steam rooms, saunas and a mud chamber.
The Ramside Hall Hotel is currently Durham’s highest rated AA and 4 Star hotel on TripAdvisor. It’s set in a truly stunning location within 350 acres of private grounds and offers extensive gardens and an award winning restaurant.
Formerly the home of the Pemberton family, Ramside Hall was transformed into a hotel in 1963. Whilst the tradition of good value and a personal welcome remains, Ramside Hall Hotel is the largest privately-owned luxury hotel in County Durham.
