The iconic five-star Royal Yacht Britannia is offering one loved-up couple a luxurious Valentine’s Day experience for the lavish sum of £250,000.
The lucky couple will be treated like royalty for an evening that has been described as “one of the most luxurious romantic experiences”.
The indulgent evening begins with a chauffeur-driven Rolls-Royce, leaving from The Balmoral Hotel where a night in a luxurious suite awaits, for a private quayside arrival at Britannia. The couple will be piped aboard via the Royal Brow, an entrance previously reserved for The Queen and members of The Royal Family.
The finest vintage Krug Champagne and a selection of canapés, all made on board in the original Royal Galleys, will be served in The State Drawing Room. There, the lucky couple will meet Hamilton & Inches for a private viewing of their Signature Suite collection, a unique three piece suite of jewellery consisting of diamond collar necklace, diamond earrings and diamond cuff bracelet, featuring over 660 diamonds at a total weight of 40.41cts.
Britannia’s Executive Chef Mark Alston will create a ten-course tasting menu, served by Britannia’s butlers, with paired wines personally selected from the Moët & Hennessy collection by Britannia’s Head Sommelier.
The menu will feature some of the finest Scottish ingredients including creel caught langoustines from the West Coast of Scotland with rare white caviar, 28 day dry-aged Aberdeen Angus beef fillet, and Champagne macarons finished with edible 24 carat gold leaf and edible diamonds.
The dinner will be served in The State Dining Room, where Her Majesty The Queen once entertained kings and queens, presidents and celebrities, whilst a classical string duo play a selection of romantic songs throughout the evening.
After dinner, the couple will enjoy a glass or two of rare Hennessy Paradis Imperial Cognac, from their very own custom engraved bottle, before the evening comes to an end with a private fireworks display.
The couple that pay the price will be flown in to the UK from anywhere in the world by private jet.
Andrew Thomson, Head of Hospitality & Events at Britannia said: “We’re honoured to be collaborating with so many prestigious brands who share our desire to offer one of the most luxurious romantic experiences for someone looking for a very unique Valentine’s gift. Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh spent over 44 years of their marriage sailing around the globe aboard Britannia. Today, guests are treated to the same unrivalled high standards as when Britannia was in Royal service to create the perfect evening following in the footsteps of Royalty.”
Stephen Paterson, Chief Executive of Hamilton & Inches, added: “At Hamilton & Inches, we have been creating moments of love and celebration for generations, so we are thrilled for our 150th anniversary Signature Suite to be a part of the Ultimate Luxury Valentine’s Experience with The Royal Yacht Britannia.
“We have a shared heritage with the Royal Yacht in crafting exceptional experiences, and as holders of the Royal Warrant, Hamilton & Inches is proud to have our most prestigious suite of jewellery play its part in making this a Valentine’s Experience of a lifetime.”
