The delicious afternoon tea
Head pastry chef Geness Tross has taken inspiration from classic London icons such as Big Ben, black taxis and the London Underground for the new London themed afternoon tea, so be sure to get yourself booked in. The tea, which has a separate adult and children’s menu to choose from, is served at Terrace at The Dilly, a light-filled day room and will delight all the family members with its themed treats.
As well as delicious sandwiches and fluffy scones served with clotted cream and sweet strawberry jam the afternoon tea includes:
London Calling – A miniature red telephone box made from lemon and poppy seed cake with a lemon cream and a crispy red tuile.
Chocolate O’Clock – Big Ben created from chocolate cremeux with salted caramel centre.
Black Cab – Homemade chocolate biscuit with hand finished chocolate icing in the shape of a London taxi.
Mind The Gap – Pistachio and raspberry filled macaron decorated as the London Underground sign.
The Secret Garden
In partnership with Château La Gordonne, Terrace at The Dilly has launched a new Secret Garden on the only outdoor balcony overlooking London’s Piccadilly.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the West End, visitors to the new Secret Garden can relax on the transformed balcony surrounded by birch trees, greenery, hanging vines, silk floral blooms and blossom arches across the The Dilly hotel’s grand pillars. The Secret Garden’s new swing seat decorated with foliage and silk floral heads in pink, peach and cream to reflect the tones of the champagnes served is the perfect spot for a summer glass of rosé or to grab a new Instagram shot.
Terrace at The Dilly has partnered with Champagne Pommery to offer three champagne options for date night, friends and family get togethers or post work drinks as well as two Château La Gordonne rosé wines.
A menu of small bites, including salmon tartare and pissaladiere, has been carefully curated to pair with the champagnes and rosés, all designed to be shared. Terrace at The Dilly’s full food and drink menu will also be available for those who wish to stay for lunch, dinner or cocktails.
The Health Club at The Dilly
The Health Club at The Dilly is accessible for all hotel guests and for non-guests with a variety of membership packages from day passes to annual membership. The Health Club offers a wide variety of activities from ballroom dancing, a golf simulator, squash courts, one of London’s largest indoor pools, and a running club, right in the heart of Piccadilly.
